Hi,

My name is Phil Hariram. I am a retired General Practitioner. I was born in Guyana, once the only British colony in South America. I studied Medicine in Glasgow Medical School and graduated in 1973.

After working in various hospitals and in relevant branches of Medicine, I did my Vocation training in a delightful group practice in the beautiful rural area of Gloucestershire. A place called Dursley. At the time, there was a cottage Hospital, an important addition to my training to become a General Practitioner.

I was accepted as a full time partner in a practice in Chelmsford, Essex. The practice underwent significant changes and I became Senior Partner after only three years. I also negotiated, planned and built the first purpose built Doctor’s Surgery in Chelmsford.

I retired end of March 2004. I left General Practice with wide ranging knowledge in all aspects of Medicine. I have started the blog to share my knowledge and hopefully help numerous people improve their health and live a life of the best quality.
